Stake Announcements

We are pleased to announce beginning May 2nd, we will return to in person 2nd hour meetings. We will follow the meeting schedule used prior to the restrictions. Additional details will follow soon.

STAKE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Kanesville Stake Youth Fireside. Sunday, April 25th 7:00 pm. Kanesville Stake will have a youth fireside for all youth who are 12 or turning 12 to 18 years old.

2. BYU’s Women’s Conference. Thursday and Friday, April 29th – 30th. Select sessions of the BYU Women’s Conference, cosponsored by Brigham Young University and the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be livestreamed on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and other media. 3. Worldwide Devotional for Young Adults. A worldwide devotional for young adults will be transmitted live on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, and other media on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The speakers will be Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Sister Lesa Stevenson. All young adults (ages 18–30), both single and married, and students who will be finishing high school or the equivalent by the end of 2021 are invited.

4. Seminary Graduation. Sunday, May 16th 7:00 pm. Seminary Graduation at the Kanesville Stake Center. All those graduating from Seminary and those receiving certificates are invited to attend. Please have all graduates and certificate recipients arrive 20 minutes early.

5. Pickleball with the Missionaries. Saturdays 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Members and their neighbors are invited to play pickleball with the Missionaries at the West Haven pickleball courts, 2855 West 3300 South, West Haven, UT.

6. Missionary Prep Class. Missionary Prep classes are held on Sundays at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm in the Stake Center Relief Society room. High School Seniors and all others who may submit their mission papers prior to May 2021 (including senior couples) should attend. Please bring Preach My Gospel and your scriptures.

7. Temple Recommend Interviews. Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Stake presidency will do Temple recommend interviews via telephone. If you need a recommend call President Meyer (801-648-0708) or President Christensen (801-791-5154). We will interview you over the phone then facilitate a time to sign your recommend. In person interviews with the Stake Presidency will begin May 4th.

8. Missionary Contact. Elder Maples and Elder Heywood are assigned to the Kanesville Stake. Their phone number is (435) 237-1095.

OTHER INFORMATION:

1. High Council Speaking Topic. The High Council speaking topic for April is "Essential Conversations", Sister Joy D. Jones, April 2021 General Conference.

2. Rocky Mountain Ward Conference. Sunday April 25th 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Rocky Mountain Ward Conference at the Stake Center. Due to attendance requirements, only the Stake Presidency, High Councilor over the ward, and organization presidents are invited to attend the conference.

3. Ogden Temple Cleaning Assignment. Monday, April 19th through Friday, April 23rd. Brother Joe Christensen has sent each ward their assigned times.

4. Building Deep Cleaning. The buildings will be unavailable for activities on the following dates; May 7th, Original Building; May 13th, West Building; and May 14th, Stake Center.

5. Relief Society and Elders Quorum Presidency. Elders Quorum and Relief Society Presidency training meeting Sunday, May 16 at 7:00 am. at the Stake Center chapel.
